How to download from a private Threads profile
Three steps download a post from a private Threads profile: paste its link, copy the source of the post page, then paste that source here.
Paste the post link
Log in to threads.com in your browser and open the post. Click its time stamp so it opens on its own page, then copy the address into box 1. Boxes 2 and 3 then appear.
Open the view-source link
Press Copy beside box 2 and open that link in a new tab. Press Ctrl+A, then Ctrl+C (Cmd+A, Cmd+C on a Mac) to copy the raw HTML of the post page.
Paste the source and download
Return to Snapvn, paste the source into box 3 and press Download. Each video, photo and carousel item appears with its own download button.
What the page-source method does
The page-source method reads the post data your own logged-in browser already received, so Snapvn saves the files without your account or password.

What is a private Threads profile?
A private Threads profile shows its posts only to followers it has approved. A public downloader cannot see those posts, so this page asks for the page source from a browser where you are logged in and already follow the profile.
Can I download from a private Threads profile I do not follow?
No. Snapvn only reads what your browser already received. If Threads hides a post from your account, the page source carries no media and there is nothing to download.
Do I need to give Snapvn my Threads or Instagram password?
No. You never log in on Snapvn. The view-source tab opens in your own browser with your existing Threads session, and just the copied HTML reaches Snapvn.
Is it safe to paste the page source?
The source can include your username and session details. Snapvn reads it once for the media of the post and does not keep it, but on a shared computer log out of Threads afterwards.
Can I download private Threads posts on iPhone or Android?
On Android, Chrome opens view-source links, so all three steps work on the phone. Safari on iPhone does not open them, so use a computer for the copy step.
Why does the page source fail?
Snapvn needs the full HTML of the page of that one post. Failures usually come from a partial copy, a share link or feed instead of the post page, or a logged-out session. Open the post from its time stamp, press Ctrl+A, copy again and paste.
